Turkey Day!

I tried to use the light to create a cool effect, and boy do these look like tasty rolls!

This picture really tells it all; I thought it captured her personality perfectly and it came out as a cool shot as well.

More of Little Sophie

Sophie sure makes for a good model! She likes to pose for the camera and knows just what to do to get a good shot! It's hard to think she has no idea whats going on! What I really like about this picture is how the light comes in from the right, directed towards her face and she is looking into the light as well. The plants in the background add to the picture and contrast the colors in her coat.

The sunlight really added to these photos and highlights the fur around little Sophie.

Shadows

I thought all of these photos had an interesting effect of the shadows helping to highlight certain portions of the frame.

Attempt #1

The slide show I put together below was the result of an attempt to get the average tourists view of Washington DC. The day I went to take pictures ended up being dark and dreary, so I decided to attempt to portray the darker side of the Nation's Capital. If you really think about it, there is a lot of darkness surrounding us. The music with the slide show was perfectly synchronized with the photos, but in the process of saving the file as a movie file, it seems to have gotten off a little bit. I left all of the photos unphotoshopped to follow the photo journalist perspective.
